Screw It, Let's Go To Space

I chose this ad because it's a lot of fun, it was released right before the election and they have some fun with headlines in it. On a screen in Times Square you see the headline "CANADA BUILDS WALL" and the newspapers read "Europe leaves E.U." Then the main character is just like screw this let's go to space and a plane/ship appears and whisks him away. It's all kind of stupid but pretty funny and thoroughly entertaining. Then almost as a show of strength Michael Phelps and Danny McBride appear—they must have so much money.

I think the objective here was to announce Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in style while making use of the current political climate, that everyone wouldn't mind escaping—so screw it, let's go to space.

I think the target is definitely men, I mean they show two women in the trailer but that's almost just checking off the box so people don't get made at them or call them bigots. They even play welcome to the jungle and everyone is just flying around killing things, it's really almost more boyish than manly. Maybe COD is primarily played by 12 year olds still. I guess I'll have to log on and get a mic. It was nice of them to throw in the politics, even though it was with a couple easy jokes—but it's COD like it's fine.
