 ABOUT THE Author:

Born and raised in the suburbs of Kansas City, Kansas, I’ve been traveling the world from a young age. As I’ve been told, my parents flew me to Florida when I was only four weeks old to visit family, so that must have been the start of my love affair with the ocean. Even before I could dive I would come on the boat with my family, and by the time I was eleven I finally found a home beneath the waves—scuba diving. Although I only saw the ocean once a year, whenever I hit the water I felt at home.

Apart from the ocean, I’ve always been driven to create. Early on, I realized that I loved to make—and I also loved inspiring others with my work. My passion to create and to market my own work materialized in a variety of mediums early on, but it wasn’t until recently that they came together in photography. Whenever I saw something beautiful, I wanted to share it. This feeling has followed me through my daily life and abroad.

These passions are what brought me to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. I am a junior entrepreneurship major in the M-school with a minor in biology. My underwater photography is currently in several fine art studios, and I hope to continue with my photographic work while pursuing a future in marketing.
